Metal Framing

The use of metal studs, tracks, and channels in construction as a support structure for walls and ceilings. Metal framing is commonly used in commercial and industrial buildings, as well as in residential construction for walls, partitions, and suspended ceilings. The metal components are typically made of steel or aluminum and are designed to be strong, lightweight, and fire-resistant. They offer several advantages over traditional wood framing, including improved fire resistance, termite resistance, and greater structural stability.

Drywall

Made of gypsum plaster sandwiched between two sheets of heavy paper used as a replacement for traditional lath and plaster. Drywall is lightweight, easy to install, and can be painted or wallpapered to match the decor of a room.

Taping

Drywall tapping, also known as drywall finishing or drywall mudding, is the process of applying joint compound (also called mud) to the seams between sheets of drywall to create a smooth, seamless surface.

Drywall tapping is a critical step in creating a finished, professional-looking drywall installation. It requires skill and experience to apply the joint compound evenly and to avoid creating air bubbles or other imperfections in the surface.

Insulation

Insulation is a material used to slow down or prevent the transfer of heat, sound, or electricity between two objects or spaces. In construction, insulation is used to help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature, reduce noise transmission, and increase energy efficiency.

Special Ceiling

T-bar ceiling and baffle ceiling are two common types of suspended ceiling systems.

  1. T-bar Ceiling: A T-bar ceiling consists of metal T-shaped runners suspended from the main ceiling and connected to each other to create a grid. Drywall panels or tiles are then installed into the grid to create the ceiling surface. T-bar ceilings are popular due to their ease of installation and versatility in design.

  2. Baffle Ceiling: A baffle ceiling consists of long, narrow panels suspended parallel to each other, creating a uniform, linear appearance. The panels are typically made of metal or wood and are suspended at different heights to create a distinctive, modern look. Baffle ceilings are often used in commercial and public spaces to create a unique and attractive design element.
